Sustainability

UMN Morris is a laboratory for carrying out green living initiatives. These include clean energy storage batteries, a biomass gasification facility, an electric car charging station, a recycling center, multiple solar arrays, two wind turbines that produce 10 million kilowatt-hours of electricity each year, the 140-acre EcoStation, and our own Office of Sustainability.

Batteries
